I taught myself photography in Amsterdam by going out every day in Amsterdam for a few hours. I went around the Dam Square, that is where all the musicians used to play gigs and would attrack all kinds of people in various shapes and sizes. Another one of my favourite places to learn was the Jordaan "Old Jewish Quarter' and this Photo was taken at a hairdresser on the Herengracht and the Headlines matched the Hairstyles. I suppose, looking back, it was one of my first professional photographs.
More than 36 years on I still enjoy Shooting.
