The Gift of Life, Rajasthani Man drinking water, India 1989

You know people ask me all kinds of questions about
photography, like was it luck or what was the moment and so on, well here was a case of both. At the Puskhar camel fair I came across this man and he was drinking water and they only use one jug or cup and the water never touches the lips as they share the cup with fellow herdsmen, It a great art in the way they drink the water. I took two frames and did not think much of it as India was coming at me from the moment I left my hotel till the moment I got back at night and I was shooting Film Slide so it took sometimes up to 3 months to see results of what you photographed and when I saw this I did not remember the photo or the settings on the camera and so on.
I got the moment and the luck and its a very special photo in my collection as it not common to see.
